Wayne Schad retired from Pelham Insurance Services in March 2024, closing a remarkable 37-year chapter of service to Pelham and the surrounding southern New Hampshire communities as an Independent Insurance Agent.

Wayne founded Pelham Insurance Services in 1994 and often described working with his clients as a “wonderful blessing.” Before launching his own agency, he built his career as a commercial insurance underwriter, gaining the expertise that would later benefit countless families and businesses.

Beyond his professional life, Wayne was deeply engaged in his community. He was a proud member of the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce and served as a District Leader for the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America, helping to guide and mentor young leaders.

When not in the office, Wayne could be found enjoying time with his family, feeding horses at Beavery Valley Farms, or—most often—out on the water with his kayak. His personal mission was to paddle every single day of the year, regardless of the weather. For Wayne, movement was the key to keeping both mind and body sharp.

And yes, if you hadn’t guessed already—Wayne truly loved kayaking.
